What Our 🎾 Players Say
I bought this for my son who plays JV tennis but wanted extra reps outside of practice. Honestly I was expecting it to be one of those things that ends up in the garage after two weeks, but he's actually used it almost every day since it showed up. The base doesn't slide around like I thought it might, even on our slightly uneven driveway. He says his backhand has gotten a lot more consistent just from repeating the same motion over and over without me having to stand out there and feed him balls.

I hadn't played tennis in probably ten years and wanted a low pressure way to get back into it before signing up for lessons. This did exactly what I needed. No awkwardness about my rusty form in front of another person, just me hitting balls in the driveway after work. The cord has held up well so far, no fraying after a few weeks of pretty regular use. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is that on windier days the ball rebound gets a little unpredictable, but that seems more like a physics problem than a product flaw. Still glad I bought it.

I live in an apartment complex and the nearest court is a fifteen minute drive, so this has been a lifesaver for quick practice sessions. I use it most mornings before work for about twenty minutes and it's honestly become part of my routine now, like a workout I actually look forward to. The ball comes back at a good pace so you're not standing around waiting between hits. I've recommended it to two friends already who were also looking for something to practice with solo.

Get Better, Faster
Solo repetition is how real players build muscle memory. With Tennis Mate 2.0, every swing comes right back to you — so instead of chasing balls, you're getting 3-4x more reps per session than a normal rally.
In just a few weeks of regular use, players report smoother swings, faster reaction time, and more confidence stepping onto a real court.
Questions? Answered!
Do I need to be good at tennis to use this?
Not at all, actually it's one of the better ways to start if you're new. Since the ball comes back to roughly the same spot every time, you get repetition without the pressure of a real opponent watching you miss. A lot of beginners use it just to get comfortable with the basic swing motion before ever stepping on a court.
Will it damage my driveway or the ball if I use it on concrete?
No, it's designed to handle hard surfaces like concrete and asphalt without an issue. The base is built to sit flat and stable on those surfaces, and the ball itself is a standard tennis ball so it holds up the same way it would during a normal game. Just avoid rough gravel or very sharp surfaces since that could wear down the ball faster than usual.
How much space do I actually need to use it?
You don't need much, most people use it comfortably in a driveway, patio, or small backyard area. A rough guide is about the same amount of space you'd need to swing a racket freely without hitting a wall or fence, so roughly a 10 by 10 foot area works well for most swings.
Can two people use it at once, or is it strictly solo?
It's built primarily for solo practice, but plenty of customers use it with a partner too, taking turns hitting the ball as it comes back. It won't replace a real back and forth rally with another person, but it works fine as a shared practice tool if you want to switch off.
What happens if the cord wears out eventually?
With normal use it holds up for a long time, but if it does wear down after extended heavy use, replacement cords are included with extra balls.
